Medical Device Prototyping
Why Choose Hochuen Medical for Prototype Development?
When bringing a concept to market launch, efficiency in the prototyping process is vital. The prototyping process can be time-consuming and expensive, but it is always worth the investment. An efficient prototyping process can save a company hundreds of thousands of dollars in the long run.
Businesses that pursue the medical device prototyping process must partner with experienced providers that complete prototyping in a timely and efficient manner. Hochuen Medical’s dedicated team can turn an injection molding prototype mold around within 1-2 weeks and a production mold within 4-5 weeks after the design is secured and the DFM has been completed, saving your business time, money, and resources.
Our team of experts provides industry expertise and can answer any questions you might have throughout the medical prototyping process. Hochuen works with clients every step of the way to ensure the best product development for your market.
Hochuen Medical’s Prototyping Process
Before production begins, Hochuen will send developed samples to the client to ensure we’re on the right track. If a client needs injection molding, we can provide trial 0 (T0) and trial 1 (T1) samples alongside a first article inspection (FAI) report. Once client feedback is received, Hochuen will make necessary mold modifications within a few days. We also can provide trial 2 (T2) and further prototypes to ensure client satisfaction throughout the prototyping process.
Hochuen Medical Provides Different Prototypes Throughout the Process:
T0 Prototypes
Non-functional prototypes – this type of prototyping is used to test the dimensions of a product design and evaluates the ease of use the product will offer to the end-user.
T1 Prototypes
The beta prototypes test the sturdiness of the parts or components and are considered to be a more functional prototype used in the medical device prototype development process.
T2 Prototypes
Pilot prototypes are necessary for soft launches and clinical trials. This type of prototype closely resembles the final product with distinctive features that differentiate it from the official finalized prototype.
Materials Used for Prototypes
Hochuen uses various materials for prototype molds including:
Copper
Aluminum
Low-grade steel
These materials allow our team to create molds that are cost-effective and quick to develop and validate designs.
